Blasted by IGN's review

Now I could care less what IGN thinks. But man there review really boggled my mind. They compared this show to the Mario and Zelda cartoons. And clamied it was so bad it was good. And of course they raised their noses at the cartoon for being for kids." Yes because the videogame was for adults" I don't know I guess the reviewer must be a big fan of the videogame. And doesn't like people trying to make sense of it.

But I don't know how on earth you could compare this show to the Mario/Zelda cartoons. For obvious reasons. Number 1 this show had a plot. Number 2 this show had actual characters other than the main ones. Number 3 the show actually had a message for kids about the environment. And number 4 they didn't have Sonic using the words "Well excuse me Princess!".

I didn't get that review either. I could have believed it if they were talking about the other Sonic show, but not this one. The Nostalgia Critic actually gave a pretty good defense of this one, and looking back, I agree with him. It's held up well, had a strong story, and didn't treat viewers like they were idiots. Of any of the video game inspired cartoons, this is probably the only gem, though I'm still taken aback by the fact that Jaleel White voiced Sonic.
