My family originally started watching Soldier Soldier because my dad was in the 1st Kings regiment at the time. I stopped watching it after the 3rd series or so. Wasn't the same with the boys

The Regiment formally known as 'The Kings Regiment' was until last year a real regiment. 'The Kings Own Fusilers' in Soldier Soldier was a fictional name.

I know Kings was emalgamated with 2 others and are now the duke of lancasters..
