I have recently purchased 'soldier soldier'video sets,series 1- series 6 (36 videos)this came with The Paddy and Nancy story and The Paddy and Tucker story.
Can anyone tell me please is this every episode of Soldier soldier that was ever made?

There were 7 seasons in all. I loved this series because it was sooo unrealistic.. like a soap opera with fusilier hackles! Entertaining and funny, but real??? No way hose! lol
shareComing from a Military background, I must respond and tell you that this series was very realistic. The Situations that the Soldiers and families found themselves in were to a great percentage very true to the actual life of a Soldier and his/her family. Every Squadron had a pair of Jokers such as Tucker and Garvey, some more so than others.
I should know, my Father was in the Army at the time of this show and I was living with him and my family as attached civilians.
I close by firmly saying the series was very true to life.
Maybe it was 'cos I was in the RN? Just thought it didn't seem that realistic

Navy is very different to army. I am also from a militry background. My dad was infantry soldier for 24 years in the Kings. The series seems the most realistic compared to others. The way the "lads" are, the jokers, the beer, the relationships etc is all very real, i watch it and it makes me think of my childhood and my extended "family" i miss it like hell and i'd do anything to be apart of it again, definately . I grew up around it til i was 17 and it's how i know people It's true when people say soldiers are just big kids. Even the cheating, from both sides, is real. That's also something i have grown up with, it doesn't happen every other episode like in the series but it is common for squaddies and their wives to cheat in certain situations
