I only ever saw a few episodes of Soldier Soldier. I taped them and watched them every now and then lol.

The episode I'm thinking of I can't remember properly, but they do an excersise when they slide down a rope, holding a bit of rope and at the bottom someone says to Robson Green they're catching up or something, and Robson says I don't think they will, I've nicked the rope.

Also the wives are hitching a lift to go see them and the guy whose car they get it is wearing stocking and high heels.

Does anyone remember which series this was from?? Long shot I know, but incase theres any die hard fans out there!

Hi,i,m actually watching soldier soldier now lol,i have the boxset.The series you were tlking about was series 2 and it was when they were posted in New Zealand.Tucker pinched the rope handle so the New zealanders could,nt catch up with them.

It was sad as Vinny the new private got killed in the posting over there,i can,t remember the exact series episode as it,s in the other room lol sorry,i,ll find out if you want.I,m watching series 4 where they are going to Bosnia.You wanna buy the boxset.hope this helps a bit.

Hi, cheers for the reply! I just looked on play.com and it says series 2 they're in hong kong and series 3 they're in new zealand. Was it definitely series 2 the episode I asked about?

If you're interested, they're showing series 2 on Men & Motors on Mon & Tues eve (repeated on Sat).

I just recently got the boxset. They are posted to Hong Kong in s.2 and go on exercise to NZ in s.3. The episode you are on about is the first disc of s.3 i'm farly sure. I may be confused as i have had 7 hour marathons haha

I've just watched my first Soldier Soldier episode ever on Men&Motors and it's this exact episode!

The only unrealistic bit was one of the girls apparently carrying a cake all the way from England and hitching lifts across New Zealand all the while it staying intact,

but other than that it was pretty good.

Might watch some more episodes of this.

The cake is actually carried from HK. They are still based in HK but the lads are on exercise in NZ! I'm still sure it's s.3 as s.2 was Germany and HK and s.4 from what i remember is Windsor!

I only just looked back to check this thread. I never had an email to say anyone else replied! Thanks for the info, I still haven't got round to purchasing any series. Will get on and order series 3! cheers
