I'm having a hell of a time trying to track down the name of a show that I used to watch with my dad. It was set in a dystopian future, a bit like Dark Angel, and the part that stands out is an underground group of hackers that had to plug into a visual representation of the internet to fight against the establishment. Not quite sure why. I also remember watching Earth 2, SeaQuest, and Startrek: TNG with him, so I think it must have aired around the same time. Any clue what show/miniseries I'm describing?

It's been ages since I saw a couple bits of episodes (never watched much of it) but I _think_ you're thinking of TekWar. I seem to recall there were visual hacking scenes on that show.
