First off, I loved that SeaQuest had multiple uniforms. The black, then blue coveralls, fatigues, and the khakis and dungarees.

I know Piccolo was enlisted and often wore dungarees like real US Navy sailors. I'm pretty sure Lonnie wore them as well in season 2. But in season 3 she seems to suddenly be an officer. So the question, did they retcon her be an officer?

She was always an Ensign, as I recall.

Lonnie was a Lieutenant.

She was an Ensign, then promoted to Lieutenant (j.g.).

Nope first scene she was in Ford was reading out enlisted bunk assignments. She also didn't have rank indicated on her jumpsuit name tag.
