Okay so am I the only one who actually liked it

A lot of people don't like this series but I did though. No it's not as good as the original but I thought it was still a pretty decent show. Sure there were some recycled storylines: Hence them working at the Country Club is similar to the Malibu Sands episodes of the original, there was also a date auction episode and another one where the girl's college boyfriend comes back and she has to chose that was similar to the Zack/Stacy episode and they also helped out a homeless girl during Christmas time as well.
But I liked the show though and don't think it was crap like some people do.

It's nowhere as good as the original, Season 1 was ok but they ruined it by bringing screech back and (somehow) they made him even more annoying/mentally deficient than he was in the original, Dustin Diamond is a horrific actor and he ruined the show.

Are you kidding me?? Are any of the kids show actors any good? Just look at the modern shows ICarly and fred show etc, they are shocking actors, but they make kids laugh. Screech made the original show and was by far the bext character.

I always hated Screech - he wasn't funny and he actually got stupider/more childish as the original show went on. In the new class Dustin took (bad) overacting to a whole new level, nearly every sentence was punctuated with the word 'zoinks!!" and some ridiculous facial expression, his voice got so fricken high pitched only dogs could hear it and Screech's character became so dumb that I'm surprised Belding didn't have him shipped off to the nut house for his own safety.

It's a character that Dustin played and he did it well, hence a good actor. Yes he did get ridiculous towards the end but dustin did that for a reason which he explains in a interview.

Screech made the original show? Surely you jest. I'm sure Screech had his fans as I'm sure more than a few dorky boys saw him and didn't feel so bad about themselves but to say he made the show? Hell no. Whether the actors were good or not, people tuned in because of the ongoing drama with Zack and Kelly and, to a lesser degree, Jesse and Slater. If Screech "made" the show, his character would have had more substantial story lines and he would have been the character to marry in Vegas. Screech was awful comic relief, nothing more.

If Dustin Diamond were an awesome comedic actor, why has he done nothing of any merit since The New Class went off the air? He's a one note actor who portrayed an annoying character for far too long, portrayed himself as an a**hole on Celebrity Fit Club and then put out a crummy sex tape and that bitter tell-all to pay off his mortgage. Those aren't the hallmarks of someone with talent or a brain.

At its best, it was better than the original series.

I watched a few episodes of the first season and then didn't watch it again. Actually, my parents didn't get the station NBC so I only had watched it at my grandparents' house. I was surprised when I recently looked up this show and found out it ran for 7 years. I can't believe it lasted that long.

If you bothered looking at the rsting statistics you'd see there's 225 people who would give it an 8 or higher. That amazes me. Giving this a 9 to 10/10 is like saying every single episode was almost perfect.

Yeah it is a carbon copy of the original but I still enjoy watching it. It is not as good as the original but it is fun to watch.

I have always liked this show. All the different characters really make it feel like 3 or 4 different shows. I really liked Season 1 and all the characters. Season 2 was my least favorite as I did not like the foreign exchange student at all and spanky? the black kid in S2 wasn't very interesting, RJ from Season 3 and Eric from Season 4+ were both better characters. Season 2 was very hit and miss in my opinion as far as good episodes go. Season 3 was much better and after that the show kind of found its groove. I was upset to see Tommy D & Lindsay leave after Season 3 but at least they replaced them with good characters. I think I may even enjoy this show as much as the original. I like the original a lot and used to watch it every morning on tbs for years but the new class is also a pretty good and very underrated series. It started off rough but by Season 3 I think the show was consistently good. Except for most of the odd place episodes like country club etc. I never cared for those with the original or the new class.

You're not the only one who actually liked it, I too.

I thought it was terrible at least the episodes I watched. I stopped after the second season, the first was just a bad copy of the original, the same characters with different names played by different actors.

The nerd, jock, and prep but with none of th cartoon humor of the original.

It grew worser in the last 2 seasons of this show. I enjoyed watching this show's first 5 seasons, but after Ryan Parker left, then that's when I decided to quit watching this show after it's 5th season.
