time for a re-run
Ten years on and still fondly remembered. This was one of the last good TV series. It would be good to see it again, or even a new series. Good stories, good acting and it brought a wry smile too.

shareI'm currently watching the first episode on ITV3, they seem to be showing it in the 20:00-21:00 slot on thursday
shareThey are also showing it daily in the afternoon - 1.45pm onwards.
shareWe fell in love with Henry, Margaret et al when "Pie" first screened here (australia). We had a fair few repeat seasons over the years, but not for a while. When we visited UK in 04, we pounced on the DVDs and brought them home -and were pleasantly surprised that our sons (17 & 13)think it's great too.
I am in the States--San Francisco Bay Area. One of the PBS (Public Broadcasting)stations has a mystery night on Fridays. Currently, they are once again showing Pie In The Sky. What an enjoyable series. All of the mysteries on that night are British. We have enjoyed them all.
shareIts now up to series 5 on the ITV3 re-run, but this final series has lost the sparkle, half the charachters have gone, his job has changed and he never seems to be a the restaurant anymore. I can see why the series ended after this. Series 1-4 were cracking.
shareI just finished watching the entire series, and I agree that the fifth season seemed a bit lacking. I can't help but wonder if it had an entirely different set of writers.
shareI live in San Francisco and have been delighted to watch Pie in the Sky on the local PBS station, KTEH. It was a wonderful discovery on Friday Mystery Night and I have grown fond of the characters. No one has mentioned the lovely theme music by Colin Towns, but I really love it. And the food! I always get hungry when watching the food scenes.
shareThe series has started up repeats again from the start of Series 1 now on Friday nights on ITV3 in the UK. Looking forward to watching those earlier episdodes I missed out first time round. I have to agree with Zarembazwoman, it always gets me hungry watching this.
shareHere in Australia, the ABC, Channel 2, has just started repeating Pie in the Sky at lunchtimes on Thursdays.
I never watched it all that much when it was on the first time but when I did it was very good.
My Dad loved watching it and as he only passed away recently, now when I watch it now it reminds me of him.
Currently re-running on the UK DRAMA channel, available on Freeview :o)
