Does anyone have the lyrics to Carly Simon's "The Promise & The Prize"
I looked everyone online but can't find it. It appears that she wrote and performed this song only for Phenom, but I want a copy of it for myself.

I had the chance to chat with Ben (Carly's son) a few months ago as he was preparing to release his new CD "Another Run Around The Sun", I made a point to ask him what he knew about this song during our conversation. it was something that had been bugging mesince I first heard it back in 1993.
he didn't have much info on any official release for it anywhere, but he said it was an outtake from her 1992 "This Is My Life" album, it was in a scene that got cut from the film, so the song was cut from the soundtrack. the same version from those sessions was used the following year as the theme song for "Phenom". thanks to the magic of digital editing and splicing., it was edited down from it's original five minutes to the short clip that appears in the show.
hopefully she'll do a box set or a CD of outtakes one day and include that version. it's a great song.
and while I'm at it, I have to say, if you haven't heard Ben's record, it's worth a listen or 12. he certainly inherited James and Carly's talent, and sounds very much like his father.
