SMALLVILLE ISN'T JUST A GOOD SHOW... IT'S THE BEST!
Smallville used to be a good show......about 4 years ago. There is a reason hardly any of the actors came back after season 7 - it's because they thought the show had already peaked years earlier and was no more than a sinking ship. They didn't want a part of it anymore, and for good reason. The dropoff in quality has been astounding every year for quite some time.
The only people who think Smallville is still a good show are the people who haven't been watching it since the first season - ie teenagers who don't know any better.
If smallville is such a good show, then talk about it on the Smallville forum.
(what's with all the stupidity? Are we not allowed to dislike a show that has nothing really to do with Lois and Clark, the new Adventures of Superman??)
Although I was not a smallville diehard fan, I have seen a couple of episodes and in general, liked what I saw. I disagreed with the Lex living in or near the town and being kind of friends with clark, but it was good to see what Clark's life might have been like in high school.
Smallille sucks now because the show is still going on when he is past college and working at the DP and is officially Superman, am I right? DP/ Superman/Metropolis have NOTHING to do with Smallville, Kansas.

Yeah, so basically, forget everything Superman was intended to be and even to an extent propagated by Lois & Clark, and Smallville becomes a good show....something's wrong there somewhere.

I like Smallville and I have since the very beginning. There have been some not so great seasons, but I think this season has been the best so far. There are definite problems with it as far as staying in continuity with the comics, but even the comics don't all stay in continuity with each other. Everyone has their own interpretation. That is what makes Superman such a great character. He's been re-invented and each one is usually pretty good. I love Lois & Clark, I sure wish it would have lasted longer, but you have to admit, it didn't completely stick to the comics either.
