The First Xmas Without Darlene Love

Yeah, Letterman had lost it well over a decade before he finally left, but for those of use who remember the first night Darlene Love sang "(Christmas) Baby Please Come Home" know what a holiday tradition it had become for thirty years, and to say it will be missed is an understatement. Watching that last show before Christmas with the big production number as the final segment was something that will never be forgotten, and it's the one thing that never got old, no matter how bad the show had become.

It just won't really seem like Christmas without getting to watch Darlene Love on Letterman.

Agreed! I recently saw another black woman perform that song and she was nowhere as good as Darlene. Darlene just can't be beat on that song.

Well, most people are idiots with bad taste...so there!

And this will be the second without Darlene and Jay Thomas telling his Clayton Moore story. Oh, and knocking the meatball off the top of the Christmas tree, too.
