Why did all the men love Grace?

Why were so many men attracted to Grace in this show? Grace was not very attractive, she is annoying, always talking so loudly, telling bad jokes, etc. Even her sister's fiance hit on her after knowing her for like 10 minutes. Give me a break!

I am talking about the character of Grace, portrayed by Brett. Not Brett herself, but how she played Grace. Get it? Almost all the men on the show were attracted to her. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

reply

Because as her character she was really pretty!!! If her character was real all the same stuff would happen. She would go out with alot of men & they would all find her attractive!! & Its just a show so it shouldnt bother you!! They just made her charater like that. They made it that alot of men where attracted to her cause she is beautiful to them!!

reply

You're the one who seems bothered.

She was funny and was different from the typical southern belle. She had a good body and she was the type of gal the guys could hang with and talk to. She was smart, not overly feminine but not intimidating.

Professional Jayne Mansfield fanatic/loverâ„¢ since 1980.

You are so stupid!! If it was a waste of your time watching this show that you don't like then don't waste your time posting that you hate it on here!! This is a place for people that actually like this show & to talk about what we like about it not complain & say that it sucks!! Waste your time talking to someone else who hates it too not the fans who like it on here!! & We can like what we want to like!! Don't put us down just cause you don't like it!!

reply

Thank you for telling me what to do, and what not to do. But ya know what? I just did it. Get over it.

P.S. See if you can get someone to change that diaper for you, crybaby.

You couldn't be more wrong. Does "open forum" mean anything to you?

Calm er down there, don't be so critical, I don't see you making a TV sitcom that actually won awards and making big bucks. Your thrill of the day seems to be coming on here and trash talking fans. Wow...how exciting you are. The only reason I've wasted the last 5 minutes of my life on here is because the new singer "Mika" has a song out called "Grace Kelly" based on this character and I came across your rude post. Get off the computer...and go do something worthwhile.

reply

Mika's song 'Grace Kelly' is based on the famous actress, not Brett Butler's character.

reply

I saw this show in TV today and thought about this post. Wow.

I didn't think I was being overly critical at all. I stated how I felt about the CHARACTER of Grace and how she was written. Clearly some people here can't tell the difference between the character and the actress. I made my original post because it is not likely that things would have went that way for Grace.

What's really sad is you heard the song Grace Kelly and thought it was based on this character. You tell me to do something worthwhile, but you've never heard of Grace Kelly beyond this show? And you're getting so upset over a post on a messageboard? Please, don't act like you're "above" all of this when you were here, reading and posting just like I was.

Let me guess, you're 12??? (or an 18 year old male??? which is often the same thing.) I saw something about McKenzie Brothers one time. I'll take Grace.
Did you not like the show because you didn't understand the jokes? You give the impression as the type person that only finds toilet jokes funny.

As for a party where kids just play cards and pools, not everybody pukes in the washing machine for entertainment.

Believe that the show has loyal fans as do Celine and Michael.

She's an attractive woman and her character was strong and funny. That's what a lot of guys like - not every guy is looking for a Pamela Anderson clone!

reply

All the men loved Grace because Brett Butler thought she was hot stuff and wrote that part into every episode she possibly could.

reply

she was a tad bit of a mary sue in my opinion.

reply

Hey some of we women were attracted to her too!

reply

Cause she's a firey red head mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

reply

There was a couple of her boyfriends that just didn't match and were somewhat classier than Grace and I couldn't see why they would have been attracted to her. Those relationships were rather unbelieveable to me but as the old saying goes, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"..

reply

Just because YOU found her not so attractive and annoying, doesn't mean everyone else thinks the same. I personally believe the character "Grace" was very attractive and very funny with her heavy sarcasim and witty humour. And looks aside, when someone is confident and has a great sense of humour people are automatically attracted to that part of them, and also makes them a great person to be around. Obviously...you would know nothing about that seeing how your slandering someone you've never met in person, this comment you made clearly shows what kind of person you are. Give people a chance so you can see what others might see would ya?
