Ryan Sparks

I don't remember exactly but I do remember an episode when Grace and Ryan were talking about their future together ( I believe it was right after Ryan's father died) and he mentioned wanting cchildren of his own and that was not i the plans for grace. i don't remember anything else happening other than that but I could be wrong.

Grace went an AA meeting to support Jimmy when he decided to try again. At that meeting she ran into soccer coach Ben, pizza delivery guy Ray, and Ryan. Ryan was interested in rekindling their romance, but since he was newly sober, Grace reminded him that it was not the time for romance, but to focus on the sobriety issue. She still went out with Ben because he had been sober for 13 years.

A very late reply but Fichtner was asked about this show at a recent event and he had an interesting response. He said that Brett always treated him well and respectfully but could be difficult with other folks. At one point as they were filming the last episodes of season 1, he overheard the young actress who played the daughter ask Brett Butler if Grace and Ryan were going to get married and she replied "It's Grace Under Fire not Grace and Ryan Under Fire" so he pretty much knew he was going to be written out and he was. She apparently didn't like that the Ryan character was as popular as he was so she had the writers find a way to send him on his way. It was so long ago, I did not remember how or why he left but I had a vague recollection that it had seemed kind of lame at the time.

Late to the game also but William also got tired of the backstage antics.
