Favorite episode

To be fair, I haven't seen every episode, but so far my favorite is The Ski Lodge. The "bedrooms" scene is hilarious.

"I'm not gay, Guy!" David Hyde-Pierce was superb in this episode.

It's probably not very politically correct in today's society, but I always thought "Out With Dad" was the funniest. Nile's reaction to walking into the situation of his dad pretending to be gay and having to follow along with the pretense of being his boyfriend was hysterical. Again, David Hyde-Pierce was excellent.

My other favorites are the spelling bee episode with Frederick and any episode with Daphne's parents and brother. I know a lot of people hated Daphne's mother but I loved her. Anthony LaPaglia came under some criticism for his acting as Simon Moon, but I thought he was very funny.

Out with dad is hilarious. The most closed ended show in the entire series. Imagine Frasier becoming serious with that woman, Emily. How do you explain that Niles is in fact your brother and never was Martin's boyfriend? Oh and Martin was never gay.

The only irritating thing about the episode is how Emily is almost obsessed with getting her gay uncle laid. What was that? When her and Frasier emerge from a tour of the bedroom she sees that Niles is there acting as Martin's boyfriend and the look on her face was like a wife finding her husband in bed with another women. She is almost devastated. The direction went too far.

It's tough to single out an episode, but I have a few favorites. One I particularly loved was "Mixed Doubles" where Daphne dates the perfect clone of Niles. Another was "Daphne's Room" where Frasier repeatedly gets caught snooping around Daphne's bedroom. Other favorites were "Flour Child" and "Perspectives on Christmas."

This was one of my favorite series, though I have to say I never cared much for it once Niles finally managed to woo Daphne. One of the funniest things about the show up to that point was the comical pining he had for Daphne and how he never managed to get the girl.

So many good ones. In no particular order: Police Story, Dad loves Sherry the boys just whine, Ski Lodge, Room Service, The Show where sam shows up to name a few.

Three Valentines even though 2/3rds of it aren't that great but the first part with Niles is some of the best physical comedy ever filmed.

God, that first Poppy episode was hilarious! she was the perfect woman and when you first meet her you tell yourself you don't mind her being silly and loquacious. One week goes by and you just want to move to Antarctica for some peace and quiet.

Chess Pains is awfully hard to top.

I just watched the episode called Trophy Girlfriend. Frasier is dating a high school gym teacher who is so mean to her students that he is reminded of the mean gym teacher he had in middle school. Suddenly the teacher he is dating turns into the teacher he had in middle school. You can imagine what happened when they got into bed. Hilarious!!!

Definitely the first one with Jean Smart...put your brother on the phone!

The ski lodge is one of those gems that does not further any story line other than Nile's inability to communicate his feelings to Daphne. It is just funny! Everybody is horny and nobody gets laid and it is absolutely hilarious how the self absorbed Frasier is unwanted.

A Man, a Plan and a Gal: Julia season 11 episode 2. Is my favorite episode in any sitcom ever.

To start you have this back drop of 10 previous seasons in which Frasier has not once had a real serious relationship with a woman. Claire was probably the closest he came and he did not love her. It's not that he is afraid of commitment he has been married 2X and engaged one other time. But here we are in season 11 and Frasier is talking about commitment which makes him temporarily delusional.

Then there is Julia played by Felicity Huffman. What a great character for that time in the show. She is interesting, smart and bitchy and Frasier instantly has the hots for her. These episodes crackle with fresh energy.

They finally have sex and during dinner Frasier is reminded of something he already knew was true. Julia is a bitch. Still he remains in denial. He goes off "You cannot describe how Julia and I feel about each other it is like describing the essence of music or the color of starlight"!!!! I hope I got the quote right. It is so Frasier!!

And then she does something that snaps him back into reality. She makes fun of his new Italian hand towel. That is the funniest sequence of alltime!

So many great episodes to choose from. One that made me laugh out loud the first time I saw it was the episode when Niles invited his stuck up new neighbors to dinner and he had his new bird STUCK to his head! The bird was startled by loud noises ad wouldn't let go.
