Looking through the list of season 1 episodes reminds me that it wasn't until season 2 that this show truly hit its stride -- but there were certainly glorious moments and a handful of great episodes in the first season.

For the record my pick for the worst of the season would be Call Me Irresponsible, then Fortysomething.

"My Coffee with Niles" easily.

This was the episode that was submitted by the producers for which it ultimately won the Emmy for best Comedy Series.

And did it for 4 straight years thereafter.

Then a record...and now all these years later...just one of two.

A classic sitcom!

Unfortunately, it lost it's charm sometime in the 2000's.

Still though, to it's credit...a major hit until the end.

But definitely the best of the "Must See TV" 'era...better than "Seinfeld", "Friends" or "Will and Grace".
