I just bought the First Season on DVD, and I don't remember too much of the first season when it was on CBS. Did it originally have this opening theme music then switch to Billy Joel's "You May Be Right"? Or was You May Be Right there from the start, and they just couldn't get the rights to it for the DVD release?

The same thing happened with the 80s show "Busom Buddies" with Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari (who actually appeared on a few eps of Dave's World). The original theme song was Billy Joel's "My Life." But when it went into syndication years later, the opening theme was changed to just standard music, ala Dave's World.
I'm not picking on Billy Joel, he's my favorite singer/songwriter, but what's the big deal about letting the show continue using the song it started with?

Dawsom's creek changed its theme in the third season dvd and it really pissed me off. Apparently that theme was the one for over seas
