Class of´'96 should be on DVD!

Ok, I realise it's been 12 years since this series aired, but I really think this should be relesed on DVD. My VHS tapes are all worn out...

How expensive would it be to dumb all 17 episodes to DVD? There should enough interest, this series really is a gem and the cast featured a few familiar names, namely Kari Wuhrer at her best!

I think Class of '96 belong in the same group as "Relativity", "My-So Called Life" and "Freaks & Geeks". All four got cancelled after the first season, which seems to be a sign of good TV drama :-) MSCL ja F&G are already out on DVD!

I agree, I loved this show when it was aired in Germany maybe ten years ago. I also love My so called Life and Freeks and Geeks and bought both on DVD:-)

Yeah I loved it too... and I was hoping that there might be somewhere that I could buy the series, but I have been looking for ages and no joy... I did get My SO called life on DVD also but was a little disappointed.. it wasnt as good as I had remembered... maybe its a good thing we dot see some of these shows after so long cause they might not live up to our expectations.

Glad to see other Class of '96 fans out there, where can we write or email to try and get this short lived series on DVD? I taped a few of the episodes back when it aired, but did not mark my VHS tapes and over the years have lost them.
This show was great, good acting and writing, I'd like to be able to see it again.

you can find them on ebay! there's a guy on there to contact named lemtv and he has all the shows! i have them all also but the quality isn't that great and i am trying to find someone who has better quality on the c/o 96 than i do! let's keep searching and get back to each other.

I agree it should be put on DVD. It was a shame that the series was cancelled. I was disappointed to see that happen. I was in my 1st year of junior college when the show started. I did not video tape the show as I should have so I have not seen it since it was on TV. I would like to see it again someday. I would assume that the producer would have to decide on if it comes out on DVD or not.

This was also a favorite show of mine, and still is...as I had just graduated college and moved to a new town when it first aired. It was like a bittersweet security blanket for me. Great theme song, too. I wish to hell they'd bring it out on DVD.

I too loved this show and like many of you, I have been searching for years for a DVD of it. I was happy to find the beginning credits on YouTube. I have about 5 eps on VHS mixed in with other assorted shows... bummer. Wish I had more foresight.

I liked this show, too, but it's not quite on the high level of M S-C Life or F&G.

They'll release everything on DVD (or whatever comes long) eventually, when it becomes cost-effective to do so. But I wouldn't expect this one to be put on DVD anytime soon. There was a reason it got cancelled to begin with (i.e., not enough people watching it), so it's not logical to assume that enough people would buy the DVDs to make it profitable.
