So why is this sooo much better than shows Disney puts out now?

Okay so back in the 90s and early 2000s Disney had great shows that were decently relateable. This ABC show and other TGIF shows were the same. Now all Disney is, is a bunch of rich kids that dont really do anything that is grounded in reality. They are soooo unrelatable. Yes BMW has its fantastical points but nothing compared today's kids shows. BMW actually had lessons and taught things or tried to have a moral in the story line. Today's shows they get in a jam that just doesnt go anywhere. One disney show I watched with my younger cousins a character lost his homework so his only logical conclusion was to tie up his teacher. What the heck? Shows like Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire all tried to have some level of right and wrong. Eventually both jumped the shark in to craziness but still were good for a while.

What is the name of the show you're talking about where a character loses his homework and ties up his teacher?

Agreed. It just seems like a backward move. You went from (mostly) relatable families to theses absurd looking houses out of a cartoon or something. Even aesthetically it's unappealing which is odd considering it's actually more upscale.

Not to say there shouldn't be any shows with rich kids either, but it's disappointing that in the 90's you had all these diverse, interesting people on Nick and Disney now it all kinda blends together.

Then again we're older now. Kids today probably wouldn't like what we watched as much as the new stuff.

cause Disney just cancelled GMW after 3 seasons -two more than I thought- where this show had a full 7.

Your right . I'm 22 years old and I watched boy meets world religiously growing up , along with Lizzie , raven , and the classic Disney movies they use to play . its not good now . I'm not big on social media either and I decided to watch an episode of girl meets world due to curiosity and it was the episode with tommy ( he returned ) the entire auditorium was recording what he was saying with their cellphones . I smacked my forehead , shut it off right away . It's nothing like what it was back then it's not even as funny as it was it's just lame . I do wanna go back to good ol days lol .

WHAT???? a: it didn't air on Disney, try TGIF: NETWORK ABC.

it was reran on Disney channel but it was not AIRED originally on that channel.

He didn't say it aired on Disney. He said "this ABC show and other TGIF shows....

He was correct.

He was comparing it to Disney shows that are supposed to be like this, but aren't. Shows like this do not air on basic cable stations any more so Disney was pretty much all he had to compare it to.

Maybe you can use Google to study up on reading comprehension...

you can see where I replied. Dani09 DID IN FACT SAY IT WAS A DISNEY SHOW THAT WAS MADE IN CANADA [which is completely asinine since Disney is an AMERICAN COMPANY!
