Who was dumber?

Saw a similar post on the Dumb and Dumber page and thought what you guys would’ve thought about these two. Both are pretty equal, but some have dumber moments than others.

Butt-Head is obviously the leader of the duo but he can do some pretty stupid stuff like getting stuck in the pipe. Beavis is more of a follower but in some cases (such as when they watch the video for “Blind” by KoRn) he can show he’s definitely aware of his surroundings unlike Butt-Head.

What do you guys think?

Beavis is definitely smarter. There's times where he actually says something right and Butthead smacks him for it.

I think Mike Judge said in an interview on Letterman during the shows original run that Butt-Head has a little bit of common sense, and Beavis is just off the wall.

You have to disregard the video segments because they are both actually kind of smart and quick witted then. It's during the actual episodes that they are morons.

I think it’s kind of even. Butthead is probably overall more intelligent but Beavis seems to have random moments of genius.

Beavis because he gets more hyper and more wound up, Butthead at least seems more calm and rational minded

i think in the original show, beavis is dumber. but in the 2022 movie, beavis is definitely the smarter one and notices way more details and subtle nuances than butthead does.
