shareThey didn’t ruin their career, they were what they were. A softer hair metal band. Any number of bands could’ve been used and the joke would be the same. Warrant, Cinderella, Slaughter, Poison etc.
The point that is that Beavis and Butthead had Metallica and Ac/DC shirts. Stewart should’ve picked something like Megadeth, or Iron Maiden, but instead chose a band that mostly girls would listen to.
What Beavis ans Butthead did in 2022 terms is make them a meme.
Some bands had a good relationship with the show. For example GWAR got their videos played in multiple episodes and Mike Judge invited them to the studio. They also appeared in one of the Beavis and Butthead video games.
