shareThere have been rumors of a new season this year...but only rumors.
An animation staple is some shows are created at the end of the last season to start off the new season. They are called "hold overs". There is a chance some of the next season already exists.
Of course animation takes longer to produce then live action too. Mike could be working on a new season right now for all we know. Yet it would not be announced until closer to air date...which could be late this year.

I'd like to think that's true...but it sounds a little over-optimistic.
MTV always announces continuing seasons within a few months of the last season ending. Summer of last year, Mike Judge was doing press for the show and showing clips of new episodes at Comic-Con. This year, not a single peep. I really wish someone would ask him about it. Instead we are just in total limbo.
But yeah, if there is another season, then they definitely would be working on it right now. The thing is... if they were working on another season, MTV would have made an announcement like they do with everything else.
They made big news about B&B previously as it was a return after a loooooooooooooooong time.
Now, it's "just another season", not such big news.
Let me put it this way. There has been no news it's been cancelled.

I seriously think it's the first time I've watched more than 2 minutes of MTV since the 90's ended.
No. MTV is the perfect place since it's now a tv show channel. It gets high ratings because of it.
