Why wouldnt they be reported to the department of children and families?

Just saying that Beavis and Butthead just live in that house with no parental supervision, go to school and trash the place and do whatever they want, shouldnt the Principal McVicker have just called the police department and gotten them to show up at Butthead's house to talk to their parents at some point before the finale episode "Beavis And Butthead Are Dead" from the shows original run?

This way the police would basically ask to speak with Beavis and Buttheads moms and dads, they would reach the conclusion that the FBI did in the movie, that their fathers are drifters and not involved in their lives but their mothers would have to still live in Highland, just never around and never making them go to school at all, their frequent lack of school attendance would be enough to get the mothers into trouble with the police (which is an arrestable offense in all fifty states in the real world anyway) they would be given a bill for the damages and destruction that their sons caused and charged with neglect and might lose custody of Beavis and Butthead.

Then the Department Of Children And Families would step in, they would be taken away from that house and away from their mothers, put into separate foster homes and adopted or placed into Juvenile Dentention until they were both 18, strictly controlled by the police and law enforcement authorities that run those places.

Both Beavis and Butthead would quickly lose their independence and ability to watch tv whenever they want, both boys would be separated from each other and given discipline, both would be controlled and given strict rules, maybe tutors in school to try to give them an education, they would conform and behave, nobody would have much problems with them anymore.

All of this would happen if the school notified the Highland Police Department about the lack of parental figures in their lives, then the police would find out that the mothers were never around, put them into foster homes and board their house up, Beavis and Butthead would quickly come under state and police control once their mothers were revealed to never be around, teenagers living alone without parents ever around get put into child protective services and foster homes all the time, punks like Beavis and Butthead would go straight into Juvie.

Might really stop them dead in their tracks, would be funny to see them end up like that too.
