Why Didnt Robin Do The Genie's Voice?

Im just wondering why Robin didnt do the Genie's voice for the t.v series?

1. Robin wasn't happy with Disney because of issues related to how the Aladdin movie was promoted.
2. Disney wouldn't have been willing to pay for him for a TV series. After all the money the movie made, he wouldn't have worked for scale again.
3. Big stars almost never reprise their roles in TV series spinoffs. Danny Devito wasn't in the Hercules animated series. Whoopi Goldberg wasn't in Timon and Pumbaa. I'll bet they never even asked Robin to be in the Aladdin series.

I think the first reason from your list is the only real reason why Robin didn't do the series. Because he was mad at Disney. He only got paid $75,000 for the original movie.

I think if he wasn't mad at Disney, he would have done the series. After all, James Woods did Hades for the Hercules series.

Also, when Robin and Disney made peace in 1996, not only did he do the third movie, but he also did a PC video game called, "Disney's Math Quest with Aladdin," and that's a VERY MINOR project. Or at least compared to the television series.

when disney in 1992 was promoting the film they went outside williams contract and made him the star instead of using the main character aladdin(voiced by scott weinger(speaking) and brad kane(singing)). williams was furious with disney. and what created more controversy is when they used his voice for a mcdonalds commercial promoting the aladdin kids toys in the happy meals. he soon withdrew for future aladdin promotions. disney got the simpsons star dan castellatena(homer simpson) to do the voice of the now semi-phenomenal nearly cosmic genie(was phenomenally cosmic until aladdin freed him at the end of the first) for the return of jafar and the series. but later they settled the fued and he returned for the king of theives to end the spectacular series for good.
