Did anyone actually like 'Bubble'?

I found her so annoying and felt she brought nothing to the show. At times I have switched off as soon as she has appeared.

I just can't see what they thought she brought to the programme!!

reply

i never found her very funny. her extreme dopyness was a bit overdone i thought. But i suppose they couldn't have her with a sensible secretary, it would be too much like having another saffy.

reply

Definitely. She made Eddie look like she had it together. It would be hard to find another secretary that could manage that.

Also she played in the witches. Witches awesome.

reply

I like her. I believe she adds even more zaniness to the show. Sure, she can be a bit annoying at times. But, she's still likable too, at other times.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

reply

She was actually based on a real person. Which is kind of scary.

I loved her and Jane Horricks played her wonderfully.

If I worked with someone like her I'd probably drop a printer on her head though.

GoonGirl for Hire

reply

I like her, she is bat *beep* crazy and totally like nothing we have ever seen on TV before. A totally unique and utterly zany character.

I loved Bubble's scatter-brained zaniness, and was very disappointed Jane refused to return to the show without the shameless addition of the irritating Katy Grin character.

reply

Katy Grinn was interesting, as she was loosely based on a omnipresent UK TV host named Anthea Turner, and some other blonde, eternally cheerful daytime hosts.

reply

She's hilarious.

Bubble: No no... No no no no.

[Shaking crazily]

Bubble: No no no no! No no! There's no limit! No!...

Eddie: Bubble! Bubble! Bubble! Bubble! Bubble! Now listen, darling please.

ROCK STARS HAVE KIDNAPPED MY SON

reply

Thank you! I love Bubbles. She's kind of like a dog under your feet all the time.

reply

I liked her in the older episodes, but she turned kind of bitchy later on, and not in a good way.

reply

It's the other way round for me. I didn't really care for her much at first, but I found the whole bitchiness and extremely high opinion of herself she developed later on hilarious.

I found her an acquired taste. Now I wait for her every episode. My favourite line at the New Years Eve Party ,after complementing Saffy's cakes . Saffy: they're mostly Sara Lee's. Bubble : Does she know you've got'em??

reply

You have got to be kidding...Bubble is one of the highlights of the show an Jane Horrocks is one of the UK's greatest talents.

reply

It's true they overdo it slightly with Bubble sometimes but overall she's a crack up, and definitely a high light of series 6.
