shareThat's because the movie is so NOT the real story! They didn't even show what a jerk Dan really was. Just that he was a cheater. But both Dan and Linda tormented Betty without need to do so.

shareIndeed, they did. 'Art' sacrificing truth for the sake of the almighty dollar. Much like Dan sacrificing morals and his family for the sake of his extreme selfishness and self-centeredness. Having the movie sensationalize Betty's tirades and minimizing Dan and Linda's TRUE devious behavior by down-playing their affair (and making it seem like it was Betty's fault that Dan cheated) translates into a more interesting story ~ but it is far from the truth. These two movies are fiction.
