Meredith Baxter really miscast: too strong, not vulnerable

Of all actresses, she was not right for this role. Betty always came off as weak and childish; Baxter could not enact that. It throws the film off-balance

Inherently....I strongly disagree...

You're like 1 of the few who negatively thought this way about the phenomenal ELYSE 😃KEATON/MEREDITH.She was superb, glad the MAJORITY coast to coast who i've met agree with me on this.

BETTs was the same. and i hope betts get out soon in her late sixties now, or seventy.
I know her daughter want mom home with her...

MEREDITH WAS PERFECT IN THIS.
Going 2 c it again today on LMN.

night all.

Thanks for reply, but coast to coast, or not, I stand by my objective critique that Baxter was playing herself (miscast), not Betty Broderick. And I don't hope 'Betts' gets out soon after the premeditated murder of 2 people in cold blood.

I agree, if one because Baxter is overused. I keep seeing her as Fred Coe's much-older mother in "Sins of the Movie." And Betty was 5'10." That doesn't sound weak and childish-looking to me. But we all have opinions.
