low rating??

Why does this movie have such a low rating?? It seems to have gotten decent reviews.

Therein lies the problem with small minded people on the information superhighway.

This film is one of a spate of ace 'neo-noirs' made during the 90s like Red Rock West and One False Move. None of them were particularly successful in the face of big budget *beep* like basic instinct. And Mickey Rourke is always worth watching.

Ridiculously lo-rated;

I can understand that this film was not as widely seen as the blockbuster big budget films that were its contemporaries. But people who actually saw it came here and gave it a low rating?

I don't understand that. This was a very good, near excellent film. The cast is great, and so is the acting. The story gets a bit complicated to be sure, but overall it is very enjoyable.

I tried way watching Red Rock West back in the day but i wonder if i jusg wasn't ready for neo noir then. I'll try to give it another go. Not sure if i have heard of One False Move, but i will try to find that, too.

The movie is very well made! But, the initial premise of a small-town deputy not "getting" that half a million dollars found in the desert should be immediately handed over to the Feds is quite difficult to believe. And, where is the sheriff? Honestly?
