Maybe I'm an idiot, but when Alan and Mrs. Vanderhoff had that awkward exchange of "Do I frighten you?" Did I miss something? What was that all about? Maybe I totally missed the joke but it never sat right with me. Can anyone enlighten me on this?
shareIt was always funny to me because it was so random and unexpected. I don't think it's supposed to have a point. It might have even been improvised by the actors. It's juts funny that he's a metal head trying to hit on an upper class woman, I guess.
shareI think it was supposed to be that he was the bad boy rocker and she she was the rich wife. He wanted to show her he could be a bad boy to turn her on.
