Best Stuff

One of the key things about comedy is surprise. And so, the moments that come completely out of left field, that have zero to do with advancing the script, are the best!

1.) "We Fear Change" - Garth, inexplicably, is in some Helmet Camera contraption, and has a robot hand he's working on. He tells Rob Lowe, "We fear change," the hand moves, and he repeatedly beats the hell out of it!

2.) Anything That Ed O'Neill Says - "I'd never done a crazy thing in my life before that night. Why is it that if a man kills another man in battle, it's called heroic, yet if he kills a man in the heat of passion, it's called murder?" / "Yeah I know what you'd like to do. You'd like to find the guy who did it, rip his still beating heart out of his chest and hold it in front of his face so he can see how black it is before he dies." / "You know, if you stab a man in the dead of winter, steam will rise up from the wounds. Indians believed it was his soul escaping from his body."

3.) "Foxy Lady" - Garth putting on Hendrix and doing the fox ears thing with his hands.

4.) Oscar Lines - When Wayne goes to get Cassandra back, and splashes water on his face to simulate tears and make his speech "Oscar worthy!"

That's for starters...

Stuff completely out of left field always crack me up. You can tell who's a good comedy writer by stuff like that
