Who's going to see Wayne's World when it reopens in theaters?

Also, is Stairway to Heaven intact?

I went, not as many people showed up as I thought they would. Stairway seemed the same as it always did to me, and after the movie they showed some interviews about the making of the movie and how Mike Myers was told by Lorne he could only play two notes or they'd have to pay $100k for the music rights and they didn't have the budget left. I think it's become an urban legend that more of Stairway was originally played.

Someone said that there was an MTV Making of Documentary, when the film was originally released, and they actually showed the "Stairway" scene in its original, unaltered form.

Saw it last night in a smallish theater that was half empty. Only two notes of Stairway were played in the music store scene just as ^^ above me stated. The crowd was really into it (laughing loudly) even at some stuff that I didn't get (older references?) The Q&A was interesting but odd since the cast and crew were filmed in different locations at different times.

I would love to see that, or any evidence of this supposedly different version of Stairway (there are still original prints floating around, after all.) I saw the movie on its original theatrical release, as well as various home video versions (VHS, DVD, Netflix) and now the re-release, and have yet to see any different version of Stairway.

Got back from watching it and was waiting for that scene. Sounded the same as the VHS version

My auditorium wasn't super packed, but the entire multiplex was dead. Everyone laughed too and it didn't sound forced. Although my friend told me the people sitting next to her kept taking along with the movie. I'm sure everyone there could've recited it word for word from beginning to end, but I'm glad me and friend restrained ourselves.

Luckily, the movie still holds for me. Seeing it on the big screen with a laughing audience really took me back to seeing it for the first time with my friends at the movies when I was a kid. I think this was the first movie I really remember laughing at til it hurt, like guffawing. Then again, I was 11. Still, we got a lot of mileage out those one liners. Me and my friend both marveled at how many of our inside jokes and sayings are from this movie. Good times, and can't believe it's been twenty five years. We're old
