Former cast member of Waterland looking to re-enter the film industry

My name is Eric Dumbaugh and shared 30 minutes of screentime with Ethan Hawke and Jeremy Irons in the 1992 release of Waterland. The movie was directed by Stephen Gyllenhall and although my speaking part wound up on the cutting room floor I still received credit and payment for a speaking part.

I am looking to get back into the film industry; following a successful career in the music industry. Any of the former cast or crew would vouch for my character, hard work, and dedication to my craft. You can look me up here on Imdb.com or www.myspace.com/empireofthesons (I founded the positive hip-hop movment LONG before Imus got fired and it became such a hot topic in the media).

I just finished a show with DJ Finesse (again check my profile for proof positive) although I believe you have to look at my personal site at www.myspace.com/goldnkid to see Finesse's support and he's due out with a Wesley Snipes movie in the near future. If you have access to Imdbpro.com you can view my Starmeter which shows how quickly I've been rebuilding my contacts from my previous experience.

Josh Wheaton was also in the movie and he can vouch for me too. I will be moving to the LA area next summer but hae no problem casting in LA should the right project come around.

Please take the time to look me up adn consider me for any roles which might be available to me! Stephen Gyllenhall, Ethan Hawke, or Jeremy Irons would also vouch for my abilities.

Thank you for your consideration!

I hear you, bro. I live in Quebec City, Canada, and have been acting since I was about 15 y.o. Like most actors, I find V/O work is the only way to pay the bills, and that work is hard to find in a city that is 96% French speaking. I can't even find an agent here. Everything in English is done in Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver, and while I'm completely bilingual (Fr/Eng), I am not a part of the Francophone acting community, and would not step on their toes professionally anyway. There's not enough work to go around.

It matters little how much you good work you have done in the past. You just have to be in the right place and be auditioning for the right role and type desired by the director or producer. Groan! Best of luck, mate. I hope L.A. has been kind to you. Chin up!

Hugh
