ONLY 5.9 ??

There's tons of movies with horrible storylines, NO action versus their trailers and so on and so on.

This only got a 5.9 ? This is a classic........man stop it !!!

It's up to 6 now and I agree the score does seem a little low for this movie. It's not quite Hard Target good or as good as Stallone's or Arnie's best action films but a score around 6.5 would seem more fair.

I agree. I just saw this for the first time yesterday; somehow I never caught it before and I feel like I missed out!

Universal Soldier features some really impressive stunts, visual effects, and action sequences. It was fast-paced and I cared about the characters.

Ally Walker's intensity and performance elevate the movie above "camp" or "cheese". The whole time I was watching this movie I kept thinking "I can't believe I never noticed her in anything between this movie and Sons of Anarchy."

The music is well-suited to the action and even though a particular theme song didn't register with me, it is never intrusive or annoying.

It was kind of cool that one of the UniSols who is only a minor character is even bigger than Dolph Lundgren.

Dolph Lundgren does a really good acting job; his villain, unhinged as he is, really has a personality - with almost as many funny lines as scary lines.

Van Damme is likeable and does a fine job, especially with his humorous scenes.

This movie definitely deserves a higher rating. For me it's not quite an 8 but it's above 7.5 so I'll just give it an 8.

Great review!

UniSol was one of the last truly great movies from the 80s & early 90s action film golden age. They just don't make them like this anymore.

An in-prime Dolph vs JCVD? It's like the battle of the Norse gods.

Motown, get your Detroit jukebox jheri curl ass in this chicken sh!t chop-chop, ASAFP!

I started this post last year and today was the 1st time I got informed that anyone responded. *grunt* LOL

So I'll share this and I know I will be in the complete minority when I say this.

I understand on cable they show movies so many times, over and over that it's like 80's where you have only 1 HBO channel showing 1 movie, 3 times a day.

Well I've seen Terminator 2 on the Encore Channels, many times while surfing through channels.

My Moral LOL = Ok FINE we know, that T2 used a huge budget with 1 huge actor and the rest were blah. But when it comes on, to me...I just laugh at the movie. Back when it came out, it was possibly the single 1 hottest movie, possibly ever made. But I got a 1500 watt radio in my car, so if I got annoyed by sounds.......the "screeching" of Edward Furlong's voice hurt my ears then and still does. Linda Hamilton's manly face, annoys me alot now too. So all in all, in "my eyes" T2 didn't hold up that well for me...due to not the action, but the actors. Arnold was amazing because he had to be amazing, but the rest of the cast...Please goto Hell. Yes it's that serious to me.

Now even though Unisol wasn't that much of a hit, NOBODY can deny that the actors in the movie outside of the main 2 weren't holding their own. To "ME", Universal Soldier holds much better thru the test of time. It's more fast paced, doesn't hardly slow down at all and the characters did a damned of a good job.

I wish Arnold in T2 said, "Hey Sarah Conor...I never wanted you baby" !!!!!!!!
