The 'mugshots' of the cowboys

I thought the mugshots or artist's renderings of Quick Mike and Davey Bunting were so crude that Bill, Ned and the Kid could never have accurately singled out their targets. Maybe there was no plausible way to have one of the prostitutes present to I.D. Mike and Davey but having the Kid look at that charcoal scribble drawing of Quick Mike and then sneak up and kill him looked a little silly.
