Major plothole

I'd still bang the shinola out of Delilah

Delilah wasn't as bad as the rumors that brought Will, Ned, and the Kid to Big Whiskey described. Regardless, even though you would have, Will wouldn't have banged anything out of any woman at that point, shinola included.

Is very bad to steal Jobu's rum. Is very bad.

Point being she could have still "made a dollar a time."

Anyway, was just a drunken homurous observation.

Love this movie.

Or some cost reduction based on a damaged goods discount I guess.

I wondered about Delilah's scar makeup and effects. She certainly wasn't hideous; was this intentional to show that the two cowboy's weren't deserving of death as they might be (to viewers) if Delilah was Medusa terrifying? The whole good/bad juxtaposition of characters makes me wonder.

One of the themes of the movie was exaggeration from English bob's exploits to the kids boasts. The way Delilahs injuries increase with every telling is part of how legends form and how the mythical west was born.

Doncha know by now that its illegal to post while drunk ?

You were drunk. You THOUGHT it was humorous. You were drunk.

You just might want to keep that information to yourself.

How is this a major plothole?

Becaus3....they have Skinny with her on housecleaning duty and not making money.

If she was still working when the three show up, things woulda been different.

reply

That's not a plot hole! That's merely a misunderstanding of the character on your part.

reply

You wouldn't know a plothole if it sat on your face.

Can't argue with that

1. Yes you would and so would I but if there are other 20 pretty girls to choose from for the same price she's probably going to be the last pick 99% of the time.

2. Your point is moot because that was only a scheme for the pimp to make the most out of the situation. A clever play to get him 10 horses to sell (each worth a ton of money back then) while keeping the girl as a servant - in that case he can't have the girl working again or the sheriff might take the horses back for himself, so the facade must be kept.

3. In real life those scars would look terribly worse. They kept it to a minimum in the movie so the girl is still relatable and pretty to look at instead of transforming her into a disfigured horror-movie character.

reply

You're correct that she wasn't all that bad, even with the scars. But I wouldn't call it a plothole.
