Did they have silencers on their guns?

Im not gun expert, but when the 2 guys came down to "relieve" Nash who was guarding Ryback in the meat locker, you can hear their gun shots. However on the guns themselves, there appears to be silencers. If those are silencers, why did the guns sound so loud? I know its just a movie, but just curious what I saw was correct and that the guns wouldnt sound like that if those were silencers. Here is an image of their guns.

I believe they were flash suppressors, not silencers. They make the gun not light up as bright when shooting. In other words, you'll be deaf but not blind. Without, you'd be both indoors.

A silencer is merely the name Hollywood gives to a suppressor, just like clip instead magazine. In reality they're one and the same. A suppressor only dulls the sound but not by a whole lot, rather it's said to reduce recoil up to 30% which comes in handy when using sub machine guns with lesser accuracy at relatively close quarters. Also muzzle flash is not blinding. Flash suppression is beneficial when trying to conceal cover.

After the unsuppressed fire jump straight to 6:55.

Full-size rifle cartridges can be effected by suppressors much like a muzzle brake in terms of recoil. SMGs though you will not feel nearly as much reduction in recoil. Pistols, especially harder hitting heavier grain rounds you can feel a reduction. Any reductions in recoil of suppressed or integrally suppressed SMGs and in pistols can be more significantly addressed by way of sub-sonic ammunition, which creates far less muzzle energy and in turn less recoil.

Muzzle-flash can most certainly affect and even damage vision depending on the level of ambient light. The iris as well as the rods in your eyes adjust to the level of light present. Once your eyes are in that 'low-light' mode, any bright light can ruin your night vision. If you repetitively do this it can permanently damage your eyes, by way of the physical rods and the nerves that open and shut the iris. Suppressors can reduce muzzle flash especially when used in conjunction with high-quality rounds that have low-flash powder. Rifle rounds can be helped much in terms of powder. Without a suppressor there will be flash in low/no light. First shots through recently cleaned weapons with solvents like CLP can be even brighter in low light.

Suppressors can actually significantly lessen the db of the muzzle report. This is especially the case if you use modified ammunition and a 'wet' suppressor. Suppressors will save your ears in a close quarters environment. Suppressing a weapon is not merely to keep the enemy from hearing it. The main purpose of creating the MP5SD series in fact was due to requirements set forth by GSG-9 to lessen the impact of the sound made by shooting on hostages. An M4 produces about 165-170dB, take it indoors and the reverberation makes it worse. Most suppressors are designed to get the dB below 140 which is hearing safe. Suppressors save your hearing and allow you to still effectively communicate. However there are wet suppressors that will take the dB far lower, some down to 60, some even to 35. Its significant.

You are taking a dump and they call GQ do you pinch it off or finish your business?
