"Introducing" Gillian Anderson?

I caught a bit of "The Turning" on TV the other night, and i could've sworn that the opening titles ended with "and Introducing Gillian Anderson." Introducing?? Um, if this thing came out in 1997, and the X-Files premiered in 1993, wasn't she already pretty well introduced by then? Am i missing something, or did i just misread the credit? Anyone out there have the DVD (who's willing to admit it) who can check this out? It's weirding me out.

First you have to give up. First you have to know - not fear, know - that one day, you're going to die.

If it weren't for the few scenes with gillian anderson this film would have a total waste of time. The story was a good idea. a man journeying home. He's gone through some experiences that have changed his life but the dialogue and the direction was awful. I live in the south now and I am yet to meet people this lost and worthless.

Why this is placed in the year 1997 is a puzzle to me. I have The Turning on video, and have watched it from Start to Finish and the copyright year, if I remember correctly was either 1992 or 1993 (but I'm sure it's 1992) so it would have been Gillian's introduction.

Maybe the most georgous but not the best, not by a long shot. The Scully character she played very well, but in some odd X-files episodes where her character behaves in an uncharacteristic manner; her acting slips a little.
