DVD is coming

Finally!
After many years and some e-mails and faxes to the RAI TV (Italian Television) to try to find the DVD version, I discovered just today a DVD will be available soon.

It will be distributed starting from January 2009, from "01 Distribution".
This is just one of the web sites where it is possible to order it:

Just for your information, the DVD will be with Italian, French and English subtitles and a book.
But, apparently, according to what they says in this web link, the DVD will be for Region 2 only. Which is strange because most of the Opera DVD I've seen are region free...

Region 2?
Does that mean I can't play it? I am in the US

BULL!
Region 2 is Europe, so unless I buy a European DVD player I'm stuck with my old, hoarded and rarely watched tape???
I am calling a friend on the West Coast who is in the media business and will have my tape transferred to disc 'underground'

DVD us HERE for the US, part of a trio with Manon and Fanicula *sp*
It is glorious. just got it frim Amazon.
