How long is the true uncut version?
So far I've heard of versions of this film that are as short as 84 mins, and as long as 135 mins, the most readily available on ebay is 107 mins. Anyone know if a 135 min version exists?

shareProbably in Japan, in Japanese with no subtitling.
shareHas anyone found the uncut version. DVD, vcd, vhs, subbed, unsubbed, official or non-official, whatever region...everything goes. I just need to get it.
shareLook under "alternate versions". Apparently it has been released uncut in China.

Last Film Seen: The Evil Dead - 8/10
^ The subtitles are Korean though
Apparently the film was cut more for pacing than for censorship anyway, still I wouldn't mind seeing the lost footage
The R2 version you can buy in the UK and that came out a couple of months ago is 112 minutes.
You can get it quite cheaply, often for under a tenner.

Hello Martin,
do you mean the Thai version or the version Epoch Cinema is going to release ?
Greetings from
Sylvain.
Is the UK DVD version the complete version ? I once have a Dutch VHS version that appears to have some extra scenes from the US version which I know is not complete. The scenes involve (if I can recall) some activity centering around the pisspot.
shareI've emailed Cinema Epoch and they said the 135 minute version will be available in August/September and will include both subtitles and English dubbed on two discs.
shareThe Cinema Epoch released DVD has been listed on lots of sites as pre-ordered item, it will be available on August 5th. But the running time is 112 minutes, not 135 minutes as previously claimed. Anyone knows what is going on?
shareSo, to recap: At the moment, there is no reg.1 compatible dvd at a decent price available?
sharethe full unrated version is 1h 48m 40s
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/tokyo_decadence/
you can buy it there
"the full unrated version is 1h 48m 40s " - EHHHH?
Choo talkin' about man! It says 1 hour 52 minutes. If you add that up . . .
it makes 112 mins, . . . . errrrrrrr?!?
So that means it's the 112 minute version!!
Yeah?
Yes, the version I have is 148 minutes.
sharei downloaded this film a couple of days ago and it was 155 min. personally the first half of the film is good, interesting but then it turns out to be a comedy/girl drama... very dissapointed.
shareyou got the wrong movie. this one definitely don't turns to comedy/girl drama.
And the producers claims 135 min version doesn't exist, a chinese VCD was never seen too. This seems to be the biggest legend of cinema history.
On alternate versions it describe scenes that is not present in the 112 minutes version, but that can be a fake, since nobody has ever seen the chinese VCD, not even its cover.
the first half of the film is about the work of these S&M prostitutes and the people they work for. Then it turns to the drama of their personal lifes, one of them has a serius illness due to unprotected sex and so on, another one likes to perform, and we see rehearsals of her play in a theater. I mean the drastical change of the mood of the film. The title of the movie may cause certain expectative and surely delivers some of it, however, the whole film is not only about the pervert side of people but the dramatic one.
shareI think you have watched Ai no shinsekai (1994), it is another film.
sharecould u tell me from which website did u download the film from ??
