China's current situation

Where women are undervalued in a society where only one baby is allowed and where female babies are murdered in favor for male babies, this movie is relavent with its themes of Superhero women saving all babies. Great Great Great!

WOW!! check out the expert on China here!!
well, sorry to shatter your faminist ego, but your understanding of "China's current situation" needed an update around 1990.
so before you do that, kindly keep your affected cynicism to yourself, because it testifies nothing but ignorance.
ever heard the saying "It is better to keep your mouth shut and to
be thought of as a fool than to open it and remove all doubts about it"
well, there is much wisdom in these Mark Twain's words.

Now that's what I want to see.

It's definately more relevant now, but not just in terms of China. We're at a turning point where babies more and more seen as resources/commodity, with all the genetic manipulation going on.

It's going to be like that movie the 6th day with Arnold. This movie has a chance to do better as a remake now than ever it seems.

OP: Another moron from... afraid to mention it?
As some user already mentioned seems you don't know a $hit about the current situation of women in China.

Sure, machismo (something present in China's society --and practically every other society-- for milleniums) is not going to disappear overnight, but it's disappearing, and faster than it did on most western countries. Believe it or not.
One thing is for sure. In today's China women are not so afraid of being raped, beaten to death, insulted in public (or in job) with filthy sexual remarks nor suffers sexual harassment as in several western countries. Names? what about USA or UK? Actually in China's neighbor (Japan) I did see things (Rampant machism) that I have never watched in China. So there you have.

In some ways women in today's China are already more liberated than in USA or some other western countries, albeit there is still a lot to improve regarding women's rights.

BTW I am not chinese but I'm happily married with a chinese woman.
