Serious error!

In the film, the twins say their date of birth was June 13, 1987.

The Olsen twins were actually born on June 13, 1986!!

Serious error?

WOW! who gives a flying *beep* i didnt even know ppl were still watching this movie...i saw this when I was like 10 and thought it was garbage

reply

In all seriousness you do realize this is a MOVIE!?!

So there is NO serious error there.

Most movies deal with fiction.

I think Mary-Kate & Ashley flimed this movie before they six birthday so I think that's why they wanted them in be 1987 inside,

reply

And they wanted them to be born in 1987 as the winning lotto ticket had their birthdate as numbers - 6 - 13 - 19 - 8 - 7 (6 had already been used and couldn't be used twice)

reply

Yes that is exactly why they changed their birthday to 87 because of the win o lotto ...

Listen Lady! No one in this Family Barks!

reply

that's a dumb error a weird error is though

it was MaryKate who played Julie and Ashley played Sarah
you can even tell by the hands they used. M.K is left handed so they wouldn't MAKE a 5 year old who's left handed use her right hand for things and they wouldn't MAKE a 5 year old who's right handed used her left hand. and you can tell by their faces that ASHLEY played Sarah and M.K played Julie. This movie you can tell they aren't identical twins and they look so different in this movie. mostly from their eyes and lips and chin/faces

reply

Nope, other way around, they never color or anything so i doubt that really matters, most right/left handed people use there opposite hands for a lot of things. ashley is also taller in the movie and has a longer face, while mary-kate's face is wider.

From what I recall of this film, a lottery ticket using the twins' birthday was a plot device with the numbers being 6, 13, 19, 8 & 7. If they had used the Olsen Twin's proper birthday, the same number (6) would have come up twice.

Quaint plot device? Definitely. Serious error? I don't think so.

reply

"it was MaryKate who played Julie and Ashley played Sarah"

That's wrong...it was the other way around.

I can tell by their eyes.
Ashley's eyes are closer together than Mary Kate's.

And this isn't an obsessed fan thing, I could tell that when I was 11.

reply

That's because they're fictional characters & their birthdate has nothing to do with real life.

reply

That's not actually an error. I think they kept the real birthday because it was easier for twins to remember and changed year because :
1- For the lottery ticket
2- Because they were supposed to be 5 years old in the movie (they were 5 and half at that time, but movie comes out later, which would have made them 6).

reply

That isn't an error at all. The OLSEN twins were born June 13, 1986 they are NOT playing themselves in this movie they are Sarah and Julie.

reply

When the twins threw the snowballs at Eddie for stepping on Frosty, one used her right hand and the other used her left hand. I always assumed they changed the year to 1987 so that their characters would be five years old, the typical age for kindergartners.
