have underage sex in this movie? I distinctly remember her and some guy in a sex scene..

I don't know, I thought that scene was kind of played for laughs. Like most people's first time, neither of them had any idea of what they were doing and it was over pretty quickly. Plus it was concentual.

From what I remember, they were STARTING to do it, but they didn't get far because her mother came home or something like that.

Yes. Her and her first boyfriend in the movie have sex and it is terribly uncomfortable and somewhat disturbing, not because it is graphic-it shows nothing at all-but because of the fact that she is just doing this with no understanding of what she is actually doing and the gravity of it.
Erica is such a lost character, that it almost makes me cry.

Get a grip, it wasn't disturbing. The fact that you found it disturbing, is disturbing. It was two teens having sex for the first time, oh so tragic.

Since this movie was made in 1992, then Samantha would have been 22 at the time. She had already been topless two years earlier in Pump up the Volume.

Drub... we're talking about Samantha's character (who was 16), not about Samantha (who was 22).
