shareIMO, she probably thought she would get in trouble too for talking about/referring to sex in front of her parents.
Also, her parents already proved they weren't on her side re. the Meyer boys bullying her. After they dragged her through the grass, they made ALICE apologize for kicking Mickey in the groin.
IMO Alice is astute about predicting her parents' reactions.
