Can someone explain this movie please

I just watched the whole and I was SO confused the entire time. I'm used to watching strange and complicated movies but this one really takes the cake. I couldn't figure out who the protagonist was, who the antagonist was, what was going on or what the motivation for it was. Honestly the cinematography and framing really added to the confusion but most of the time I couldn't even SEE clearly enough to know what was going on visually. I will be eternally grateful if someone would spell this out for me. Thank you!
