Overrated
This show is overrating. Hard to believe it's 13 and up. I say episode 4 is the most overrating episode.

lol Thats true I suppose. If you've ever seen the episodes on Toonami before then most of that has been edited or cut out. I guess for thirteen year olds in Japan it's pretty common to see nude girls, drinking alcohol.
But besides the certain ammount of nudity there is no sex scenes between the characters like some hentai program, there is little cussing but nothing compared to other shows like Deadwood. So it's not very vulgar to the point where it should be rated R or M for mature.
Still I agree it's not a Saturday morining cartoon that you want your younger kids watching lol.
Your message made me laugh. You're probably right. Every country has a different rating. Besides, the nudity is in the first half of the episode. Talk about scary. And Ryoko talks to Ayeka about "stuff". Kinda scary, too. I never seen Tenchi on Toonami before, because I never watched the show then. I wonder how they edited it.

Thx! The edited version made me laugh. Since I'm used of the uncut version, the edited version is stupid. Some of the lines are just stupid. Thx for the big laugh!

shareLol. Me too. I did use to own the first Tenchi OVA 1 on video, and it was cut, but my dad broke the video.

I only watched the full english OVA recently, maybe a week ago thanks to www.tenchizone.com .It's all uncut too which works well, and makes the series seem more realistic. However I'm still waiting to see when the third OVA will be uploaded on that site, or perhaps youtube. I've seen it, but it was all subtitled and in Japanese, which for me makes it harder to actually enjoy and understand the show.
