Scott and Fran's Life

A few people have mentioned what they think happens to Scott and Fran after the movie. Most involving marriage and kids, I think that too, but I've also thought of something else.

I think they'd open their own dance studio, where they teach people to 'dance from the heart' and students are encouraged to make up their own steps.

What does everyone else think?

The kiss then live happily ever after :) That's my take on it. Not exactly deep, but it makes me happy.

The(y) kiss then live happily ever after :)
Works for me too. It's really that sort of terrific escapist fare isn't it?

they begin dating the night of the pan pacifics.
they notice this 2 year thing...
they date for two years and scott proposes, and she accepts.
scott sue the dancing federation and barry fife for 'obstruction of justice' or whatever is equivalent in Australian Law -- didn't care about winning but the principle.
engaged for two years -- during which they discuss moving to America after their wedding.
they win their case and barry is forever banned from dancing and the federation and scott wins 1.2 million Australian dollars.
scott notices how good he was with law and when they move to America he decides to go to law school.
they marry and a couple of months later they move to America.
fran teaches dance at a private school for a couple of years while scott goes to law school
they become American citizens.
scott graduates law school and takes the bar exam... passes on first try and is hired by the firm where he interned from.
it's a good thing, too.... guess who's pregnant....

I like that idea very much. I was a little sad they didn't show a little clip of what happened to everyone a few months or years later.

I always figured a murder/suicide pact. Drive across the country killing every chance they have then they would shoot each other at the same time and die on the beach in western Australia.

Or maybe I have the story way overplayed in my head.

I never thought they got married, although they were quite serious about each other for a while.

But Scott was 100% devoted to dancing and she was not, and she wasn't a top competition dancer anyway, so eventually they parted ways and he and Tina Sparkle became a personal and professional couple. She took the self-confidrnce she gained from dancing and went on with her life, maybe she went to night school and worked towards a real career, maybe she found someone who thought she was fantastic, maybe both.
