1992 was BOOM TIME for Ballroom Dancing

Who remembers when this film first released at the cinemas, being a box office hit and a crowd pleaser.
And a lot people here in Australia also were taking up ballroom dancing nights after watching this film. Our local bowlo was the place to be on a friday night (other clubs tried to catch on but flopped coz everyone was at Warilla Bowlo).
The guy who ran the event said "business went up by 40% after the release of STRICTLY BALLROOM".
They were fun nights ?

Well anyhow i didn't like this film...loud and over the top with very hammy acting...sorry fans but most of us Aussies dont behave that way.
