OT: title of a movie i saw on tv a couple of years ago?

It's a movie about slavery: there was a family who owned slaves, they had a son (I'm not sure if they had other kids but the story was about the son) his nanny was a slave who had a daughter about his age. He spent a lot of time with the daughter and the nanny even bathed them together as children. As they got older he seemed to grow dependent on the slave girls friendship ( I remember him taking her to a party and all the other kids asking him why did he bring his slave). Years later he was supposed to get married, his fiancee could see the friendship (If not more) between the two and wanted it to end. He is sent away, I'm not sure if it's for school or on business but when he's gone his family sells her away to make the fiancee happy. When he returns he's mad and goes off to find her (I think) after that I'm not sure what happens.

Does anyone know what happened or the title of this movie?
