They messed with the ending

I remember seeing this on tv the first time and when Vanessa starts singing at the end Lynn Whitfield's character is reminscining about times gone by, she says "What we could have had, what we could have had", before she walks out the door, I noticed it was taken out in later broadcasts, this made it more personal, I wished I could have recorded the first run.
