So is Spike supposed to be Satan?

I didn't think so, BUT when he drives the car down into the pit of Hell, it seems it was impying he was.

Yeah that makes sense and it's kinda what I was thinking.

But when I first saw this movie back in 1992, I actually though Spike was 2 people, like played by 2 different people.

For some reason at that time he looked different in the scenes when he first goes to Roy's house to sell him the dish AND in the Star Treck sequence when He says "Where ever you go I go!" From the he way he looks in the rest of the movie.

I mean, to me, he looked like a different actor in the scene where he went to Roy's house AND in the Star Treck scene, and I thought he looked the same in all the other scenes, SOOO when I was little I thought the "Spike" who went to Roy's house and the one in the Star Treck scene was actually Satan, and the Spike through out the rest of the movie was just the associate.

Like when Roy sees him in the Star Treck scene I thought he has a realization like, "Hey that's the guy who sold me this thing!" And when Spike was talking about providing entertainment for a demanding viewer below, that's who he was talking about.

Weird huh :)

No, he's not Satan/Lucifer/however you wish to refer to him/it. Eugene Levy's character even said who Spike was when he and the Knables are in the shack in the "Northern Overexposure" "episode." He's (Spike) the big brother to Satan.

I'm sorry to sound bitchy here, but I just get annoyed when people ask things sometimes because it makes me wonder if people who watch T.V. anymore even bother to pay attention to what is going on...

If you get annoyed by people asking questions about movies then why do you get on a message board to answer them?

Yeah ceaser I agree, that's as bad as ppl replying with "It's just a movie, who cares?" that I see all the time here. lol

But yeah I've seen this movie hundreds of times, and I'm aware of what was said, but it just seems like there are things in the movie that imply that he was Satan like having direct access to hell.
