Any theories as to why Stone never takes off his glove? *spoiler alert*

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed seeing Stone in the fingerless glove, but I wonder why he never takes it off. During the scene where he was in (I guess a mental hospital?) after his panic attack, most of his other clothes were missing except for the t-shirt he was wearing, his pants, boots, and the glove. There was also a scene towards the end where Stone helped Michelle wash her hand. He didn't bother taking off the glove.

During the flashback sequence in which we see Foster getting murdered by the creature, Stone wasn't wearing the glove.

I wonder if the glove belonged to his partner, Foster, even though we didn't see his partner wearing the glove during the flashbacks (Stone wasn't wearing the glove either). What are your theories?
